You could try this: where Spock suggested (quite correctly) in 2 (ii) above

(ii) Set Sidebar Mode to "Beginner field selection"

use the "pull-down" corresponding to the Kunena Gender Field, to use "cb_sexe" from your CB profiles. That should do the trick.

This problem concerns Community Builder and how it integrates with Kunena. The issue is complicated by the involvement of a non-English language something-or-other. I can only advise you that I have tested this function on a test site, I defined the custom gender field (cb_gender) having two possible values: "Male" and "Female". It works.

What values have you defined for "cb_sexe"?

Perhaps there is a solution at Joomlapolis , the people who developed Community Builder? Have you tried asking your question there?

i have tried with "male" & "female" insteade of "homme" & "femme" and it works fine !

i'd like to know in which file and where exactly i can modify it to make it read it as "homme" & "femme" instead of "male" & "female" ?

I'm not certain. It's probably a Kunena thing, so I'd look in the ../administrator/components/com_kunena/language folder ... but, as I'm only familiar with the English language installation I don't know what special files are involved with the French variant.

Alternatively, it could be a CB thing, in which case you'd have to look in the ../administrator/components/com_comprofiler/language folder or have a look at the ../components/com_comprofiler/plugin/language/default_language/default_language.php file.
