Kunena 7.0.5 & Kunena 6.4.11 – Security Updates Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.5 [K 7.0.5] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0.

The Kunena team is also pleased to announce the eleventh version of Kunena 6.4, a native Joomla extension for Joomla! 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 6.0.

This category contains miscellaneous, uncategorised user contributions, (templates, modules, plugins and hacks) relating to older versions of Kunena that are no longer supported.

This category may also contain a few topics relating to K 1.6 that may have been moved here possibly by mistake.

The topics in this category are for historical interest only. Owing to the structural differences between K 1.6 and K 1.7, these ideas in these topics will not work with later versions and, for that reason, the topics are locked.

Indeed, this also works great for me.

In the Joomla login module you should be able to select the redirect page after login.

Thanks for the information and that makes perfect sense but I still get redirected to the home page on log in and log out. I enabled the login mod, before it wasn't enabled as it wasn't used, and am attaching an image of the back end for the log in module.

Sorry to be such a newb if I've missed it but otherwise wonder if I can just do it in the code.

Thanks again.

I still don't have this resolved and wondered if anyone could point to where in the code the redirect might be edited.

According to the screenshot you posted, you have set Login Redirection Page = "Community" (as you have also set Logout Redirection Page = "Community"). quila suggested that you set Login Redirection Page = "Forum" (or whatever you've called your Kunena menu link). We could identify the cause of your problem in 5 seconds if you gave us the URL of your website.

My Kunena application is called Community in the main menu (the rewritten url is community.html). I'd prefer not to share the url if it's possible. If it's not possible to resolve it without the url, might I PM it to you?

Since you have already provided the relevant information, there's probably no need for me to visit your website because you seem to have a fairly good handle on how to configure the standard Joomla mod_login module.

I haven't anything further to add to what has already been written. You haven't confirmed whether you're using other, third-party login modules on your website which might possibly be conflicting here. I understand your reluctance to share information about your site's URL, however, in order to maximise the assistance that we can offer you, it would be very helpful if you could provide a list of all Joomla extensions in use on your website. From the sounds of things, the problem isn't caused by Kunena, though.

You can also help yoursel, too, by creating what I call a "vanilla-flavoured" Joomla website. That is, Joomla 1.5.11, straight out-of-the-box with no customising whatsoever, and Kunena 1.5.3 (likewise, non-customised) and tell us whether the problem you've described occurs in this "bare bones" installation. If you have no problems with the cut-down version, doesn't this suggest that there's something you've added in your real website that's responsible for problem? :S

If the symptoms do occur in the "vanilla-flavoured" variety this could suggest a problem with your Kunena installation package or a problem with your webhost that makes it unsuitable for Joomla and/or Kunena purposes.

Like I said before, you could prossibly get faster assistance with your problem if you provide the URL to your website; however, I respect your decision not to share that information. :)
