The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.4 [K 7.0.4] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0

i also had problem relating to toolbar.kunena.php when upgrading 1.6.4 to 1.6.5 in J!1.7.0.
I had tried to use both the com_kunena_v1.6.5_b5005_2011-07-27.zip and com_kunena_v1.6.5_b5005_2011-07-27.tar.gz directly from the J!1.7.0 extension manager.
With the error still showing on screen i pressed 'back' and was sitting at the 'upgrade kunena' screen during the installation process, i then opened administrator/components/com_kunena/toolbar.kunena.php and found it only went as far as 'case "show' on line 47 rather than the 167 lines in the actual archive. i copied from the archive and pasted to the live file, saved, pressed 'upgrade' again and it went through seemingly fine.
