Important Blank page on update from 1.6.4 to 1.6.5

After installing the 1.6.5 version I started the update process, but it turns into a white site (on both Joomla! 1.6.6 and 1.7.0) - tested with both Norwegian and English as default admin language.

Then if I go back in browser, and try to run the update process one more time it results in a Error 500:

You have the file corrupted components/com_kunena/toolbar.kunena.php, change the installation way if you have used zip, use link for directory.

Try to use an another file format or unzip the package should help

Right ... actually I was using the tar.bz2 pack, but when using the zip now it went fine. Except a 500 error about a already exiting menu item for forum, but got past that on next try. :whistle:

Think we need to check if it's something wrong about the tar.bz2, or the way the installer handles it. The server itself shouldn't have any issues packing it out, and tar.bz2 is my first choice for all packs when it's available (have used it for long time in J!1.5).

This is a bug in Joomla! itself, which causes an unknow error with tar and tar.bz2
