Hi,
can you check in your configuration.php on your root, that you have the right tmp dir. /hermes/web09/b724/moo.icd70/watto_killboard/watto/tmp

I have checked the route to both the tmp folder and logs folder in joomla, but i will check the actual .php file to see if it is correct

arprod wrote: My test site (which kunena installed on with no problems at all) runs Joomla 1.5.21

PhP is version 5.2.12
MySQL version 5.0.91

I uploaded and installed Kunena without a problem to my test server

Do you now understand why I asked you for the information about the server where you want to install Kunena?

What is the PHP and MySQL versions on the server where you want to install Kunena?

Sorry for the way i worded that, I didn't mean for you to think these were my test server specifications, these are for the live site at watto.us, not my test server, which is adjustreality.us/watto

arprod wrote: I thought i did answer his question.

The PhP and SQL specifications are for my live site. According to the link he provided, i meet all the system requirements

Joomla version 1.5.21
PhP is version 5.2.12
MySQL version 5.0.91

Also, I have checked my config.php file, they have the following directories listed

/hermes/web09/b724/moo.icd70/watto_killboard/watto/logs
/hermes/web09/b724/moo.icd70/watto_killboard/watto/tmp

Thanks for clearing up the misunderstanding. Have you checked the folder permissions of the site where you want to install Kunena? See Securing Kunena . There may also be folder ownership issues here, too. This may be something you need to resolve with the webhost. This might explain why you cannot add files to the /tmp directory and therefore why you can't install Kunena. But I would be wondering, if you can't install Kunena, can you install any other Joomla extensions?

I will review that link you provided. Also, I have not had any problems adding any other components to joomla. I currently have:

Attachments
Content Templater
JCE Editor

all have been installed before this problem occurred. each of these has been installed for a while too, they were not recent installations (they are all at least a month old)

I had JooBB, which I didn't like at all, and uninstalled to replace with Kunena.
