I made all my directories writable. It did not fix the problem.

I'm a bit confused now, when Joomla gives me the install error it says the root directory is "/hermes/web09/b724/moo.icd70", but the back end of the server says the root directory is "/home/users/web/b724/moo.icd70"

I checked the global configuration on joomla again, and I have the log and tmp directory set to "/home/users/web/b724/moo.icd70" not the "hermes" one...

If i downloaded the com_kunena file from my test server via FTP client, then re-uploaded it to my live site, what (if anything) would i need to change to make it work. would it work?

edit: ok, trying to just transfer it via FTP doesnt work either. oh well, im out of ideas now.

hmmm, now my site has crashed. i don't know if it is related to this or not. I can't access the public front end, or 1 of my subdomains, BUT i can still access the Joomla admin panel? but the public fron end gets an internal serer error. And my subdomain (which i never touched today) is getting the same error....

on technology, why do you hate me?
