Kunena 7.0.4 Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.4 [K 7.0.4] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0

You should update your site. Kunena is not up to date, Blue Eagle is not up to date, and although Uddeim has not been developed further, at least use the latest version.
 
Hi Rich,
I was using Uddeim on my site and it seemed that with each new version of Kunena, Uddeim would deteriorate a bit more. Predictably, with Kunena 5.2.14 Uddeim stopped working completely. I can't even get into it's backend.
I'm sure these questions get asked plenty so I apologize if I'm being redundant.
Is there another PM extension for Kunena available?
How might I remove the corrupted mess that Uddeim has become, from my data base?

There are software that includes PM function and can be integrated into Kunena, e.g. the Communty Builder, Easy Social should also have this, or JomSocial. But these are complex software where a lot will install that is not needed for PMs only.
Unfortunately, I don't know of a more satisfactory solution.
It is also not recommended to continue using Uddeim. Are you no longer able to access the backend at all, or is it only Uddeim that can no longer be called up? To uninstall, you only need to go to the extension manager. The database tables starting with #__uddeim are not removed during an uninstallation, but if you delete them, all PMs are gone. Maybe you should offer your users the possibility to save their PMs first.
