In J!2.5 I asked the team to fix language in ACL to be more meaningful so that issues like this wouldn't happen anymore. Now it reads: "Access Administration Interface".

Hi,

Thanks again.

All users are just "Registered" in joomla. And I'm using Joomla 2.5.

Really do not know where to change the settings so that only people can create new topics after going for moderation.

I answered your question in msg #4 . If you want messages to be reviewed by your forum moderation team, you define, for each category where you need this, Review Posts = Yes.

Your K 1.7 configuration report shows that I was right in my conclusion that you are using J! 2.5.

If all your members are registered users and all members are receiving emails about messages requiring them to be approved, then I would conclude that you have somehow changed the default Joomla ACL permissions. Have you changed any Joomla ACL permissions (yes or no, please)?

Hi.

Has not changed any permissions from the ACL, but a new group was created so that only this group saw some modules. Just that.

I want to make sure that we clearly understand the problem. The objective, as I understand, is that you want, in some categories, users of your site to have their messages reviewed by a moderator before those messages appear on the forum for everyone else to see. The problem, as I understand, is that, in all categories on your website, no-one's messages need approval before they are appear on the forum. In other words, all users who are not moderators or administrators are able to post messages without requiring moderator approval? Is this a correct précis of the problem?

In that case we have to agree that that this is a Joomla issue. You have to ask yourself a few questions:

(1) When new users register at my site, what group are they automatically registered in?

(2) Under which parent group is this new user group that I have created? For example, is this new group a child group of the Administrators group?

(3) What special additional permissions have I given to this new user group?

Answering those questions will probably explain why you are having the problems that you are having.

Hi!

You understood exactly my problem, examente is what I want.

About the questions:
1 - All users who register or logam by AD, are automatically in the "resgistrado."
2 - The new group created is below the group "Public", not being involved with administrators.
3 - This new group, called "DownloadUser" has a level of personalized access to it when you see some modules to login. I have about 2000 users on the site, and only 60 to join this group.

Another important information is that no user commented yet these forum posts, only users (Level "registered").
