First off, I haven't used this forum software since it was Fireboard - great job with Kunena!!!

When a user uses bbcode from the post composition toolbar, the bbcode is rendered as HTML in the post. Any suggestions as to how to fix this?

The site in question is being developed and as such is password protected, however I can provide a link and access if need be.

Thanks in advance and cheers!

One other thing! I have a menu link to the forum in my main navigation menu, and this is the only menu link that will not stay "highlighted" after clicking the menu iten - not a deal breaker, but it would be nice if I could fix this, example attached.

Hello,

You should have a plugin which alter the content of message, you need to check that.

I don't provide support by PM, because this can be useful for someone else.

I have checked all my joomla plugin settings and haven't found a solution yet, but thank you for the reply!

One thing that I should note, all of the toolbar bbcode buttons work, except the bold and italic and code buttons! Clicking them produces html, ie:
Code:
<strong></strong> <em></em> <code></code>
To further complicate matters, manually inputting the bold and italic bbcode WORKS (not code tags though), however if you open the post to edit it, the BOLD and ITALIC are html code and not bbcode again!

Very odd I know. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am really, really loving the Kunena forum software, this is the only bug, albeit a small one, that I am experiencing.

Cheers

This is not a Kunena issue. This is a Javascript library issue (and therefore a Joomla issue) and it affects Rockettheme templates. If you are using the RokCandy plugin then you will get those <strong></strong> <em></em> <code></code> tags. If you have Build Titles Spans enabled (in Rockettheme) you will have other issues, too.

I didn't mean to infer that this is a Kunena bug, just that it's a bug on the project that I am working on. :)

Unfortunately I disabled RokCandy and Build Title Spans but the problem still exists.

Thank you very much for your reply and some direction to look in to solve this. Any suggestions would be very welcome.

Hope to get this sorted as I love RocketTheme templates and use them often.

Cheers sozzled!

*EDIT*

FIXED!

I used this link:
www.kunena.org/forum/105-solved-or-prior...it=10&start=10#10298

Strange how disabling RokCandy didn't help, but the info in this link was bang on!

The only remaining problem in Kunena is that using the list are not rendered correctly (and integrating JAwards), but I will mark this as solved and create a new topic.

Thanks again for steering me in the right direction!
