Hi, I have digged into this issue further. Here, I am writing in detail about my error.

I wanted to update my site with new template. So I built new test site on subdomain with fresh joomla installation [database Name: COPY1] and installed all extensions one by one and then updated all database from old site [database: ORIGINAL] to this test site by exporting and importing through PhpMyadmin. Then i simply deleted all files of old under public_html and moved new testing site from subdomain to the public_html. Everything is working fine except major error of 'Unable image upload' in two different components 'Sobi2' and 'Kunena' with error message- 'Moving file error' and 'failed to move file' respectively.

I have tried all --changing CHMOD folder to 755 and 777 of media and image folders to enabling/disabling FTP configuration mode.

But nothing is working. Finally I transferred back up of old file to the new subdomain folder [database: ORIGINAL] and tried to upload file where it works without any error. I updated from old template to the new template to the this subdomain site and all upload works well. Then I took backup of this subdomain site from Akeeba and restored it under public_html and again this upload error started occurring.

Just for further testing I made clone of new template site [CLONE2] with errors under one more subdomian folder [database: COPY-2] which still shows this upload image error under subfolder. Just for testing I downgraded Kunena 1.6 to 1.5.13 version but still same upload error. Then I changed [database: COPY-2] to [database: ORIGINAL] of this [CLONE2] subfolder site under Joomla Global configuration, also made all required changes in configuration.php. So ideally this clone2 site with original database should show frontend data from [original] site, but it still shows Kunena 1.5.13 - data from [COPY2]!

So i feel there is some database misconfiguration which keep on directing to the old path after migrating to new folder and this is causing upload file error. I have tried to take help of Hostgator but in vain.

Hope to get any suggestion to solve this error.
