again thanks for all the help! I really love this new forum, I have used a lot of forums platforms over the years like Vbulleten, infopop and groupee and I think this is just as good if not better.

Better go with what Ron suggested - FYI he is our design lead - I go to him to ask for css support. ;-)

The moderators have only split the topic as this is now a css issue. I suggest you go with Ron's recommendation. Should be easy to make the change.

Please reply in here if you have any more questions about this issue.

Hope this helps!

joey2509: I locked your original topic which concerned difficulties that you experienced during the installation of K 1.6. We have dealt with those issues. This issue is a new topic and I felt that it was more appropriate to deal with this new subject separately. I hope you understand that our moderation task is to make things easier for you and for others searching for information that will help them in tackling specific problems.

This problem that you are having is not an installation issue. The installation category is, as Matias wrote elsewhere, is for matters involved before and during installation. Your problem arises after the installation. That is why this topic was split. I also placed a note in the first message of this new topic so that you (and others) could see where the subject originated. But, the fact remains, this topic is quite different from what you originally started.

severdia wrote that your problems concern the site template that you are using (Times Plazza). This is the source of your problem. The source of your problem does not lie with the installation of Kunena. Can we please try to stay on-topic and deal with your current problems. Thank you. B)

There are many possible solutions to your problem. One of them might be to contact the developer of the Times Plazza template to see if they have a solution that allows you to use Kunena with that template. Another possibility could be to experiment with different templates to see if that overcomes the issues you are currently having. There are as many possible solutions as there are Joomla templates that people choose to use. Please believe me that we are genuinely trying to help you as best as we can.

I'm having the same issue with the Formality 1.6 Kunena with a template I'm using. When I place the menu at Kunena_menu it shows on top but it looks like my sites menu css is taking precedence... therefore it looks wrong and the hovers are incorrect, too.

Is there a way to insert a css class to the menu to fix this? I tried to find a css class for the formality menu looking through the template css but didn't see anything. Any other suggestions?

Attached is an image that shows how the menu looks different than it should. Note: when you hover over a menu item, it just blank out gray.

Thanks in advance for any help!
