Full support for K 1.6 under J! 1.6 actually requires the Joomla people to resolve a few issues with Joomla itself! As we have written before, it is the intention that K 1.6 will be supported in J! 1.6 when J! 1.6 has become stable. That latter point has not yet been reached (even though J !.6.1 is considered to be a "stable" platform). It is this "stability" that I am addressing here in my reply to you.
Given the number of issues that people have already found with J! 1.6.0 - and a few hundred of those problems were attended to in J! 1.6.1 - and there's still a little way to go at the moment - if I were developing a new website for my own use or for a client I would seriously question whether J! 1.6 was currently reliable enough to use as the foundation for this work. Of course, this is only my personal opinion and I am not stating this view as an official view of the Kunena project team or of the owners of the Kunena trademark.
These views notwithstanding, the question about when K 1.6 will be fully supported in J! 1.6 is off-topic to this discussion.
In the meantime we are doing our best to work through the issues as and when we discover them.
