Internal error:

This comes usually from Apache -- you have broken config file somewhere, or maybe .htaccess. Check Apache error log to see what is wrong. Usually this has nothing to do with Kunena.

Changing profile links to be registered users only, you need to change profile menu item to registered users.

Thank you guys!
I spent a lot of time and couldn't fix it. so, i re-installed kunena.
I can enter it. forum works. but i still can not find any functions like privacy to let users hide their profiles if they do not want anyone to see it.

that's one thing i really need a help with.
Another one - I can not find an option to let users send private messages to each other.

I'm sure kunena should have it (every forum does), but where do i find it?

I would really appreciate your help!!!

P.S. As per .htaccess file. I do have it. I have TXT one without a dot in front and the one with dot in front. Also, all of the files have permissions either 755 or 644 except one, which is 444 (i think it is named configuration.php)

Thank you again and I would really appreciate your help!!!

Every user can hide their profile and online status from other users by editing their profile (last tab).

No -- we do not have private messaging built into Kunena (yet). You need to use another system for that -- CB, UddeIM and JomSocial are integrated.

htaccess.txt is not the same as .htaccess even though the contents of the file htaccess.txt makes a good "template" for a .htaccess file for Joomla.

Please read Search Engine Optimization (SEO) in the Wiki which tells you how to use the htaccess.txt file (by renaming it to .htaccess). This is actually good thing to do and it's recommended that you do this to improve site security: rename the htaccess.txt file and implement Joomla SEO.
