No need to drop tables. Just install K 1.6 RC1 again and "revert to K 1.5.10" and you'll have your old forum back again.

Note: reverting to an older version of Kunena has problems deleting the new Kunena menu. You will need to manually trash new Kunena menu and recreate your old menu links to the "reverted" Kunena style. It's also a good idea to permanently delete the new Kunena menus from the menu trash, too. This is to prevent "where is my Kunena menu" problems in future. This is probably the only feature of the K 1.6 installer that's not 100% reliable (and is a bit complicated to fix).

This sounds like a permissions issue on some of the files. Can you check if the proper apache permissions are set on all of the avatar files?

The error you got comes from the Joomla file system function, that was unable to copy or move the files. In 99% of the cases that is due to permissions issues on the files.

Hope this helps!

We love stars on the Joomla Extension Directory . :-)

I also tried(local WAMP) from K 1.5.12 to K 1.6 RC 1 and I get no errors in avatar migration.

Done that now. I checked all folders and files in /media/kunena/attachments/legacy/ Some avatars had 755 rights. Chmod them all to 644 (folders of course have 755 rights)

New migration try - everything was ok and install was succes. No errors, but same results; just some avatars came through :(

I have used and upgrated board ever since FB 1.04 I have added meny avatars in /fbfiles/avatars/gallery/ It would be somehow understandable if they would be missed, but meny avatars that users have loaded (/media/kunena/attachments/legacy/avatars/) are missing too - still not all.

This is a total mystery

Tried that now. K.1.5.12 installation ok, but upgrade from there gave exactly same results. It seems to be the same avatars which came through and same which didn´t. There is no variation about wich are in place and which are missing. Mystery is that I havn´t been able to tell any difference in those
