In the end of the migration process I got multiple "Copy failed" messages. However migrator announced that everything was ok. After short testing everything seems to work, but I lost majority of user avatars. But not all of them though.

I checked images/fb-files/avatars and noticed that some pictures were chmod 644 and some 755 I haven´t change those myself, so I don´t know why they are different. I might be wrong, but I have thought that copy is possible when read is possible?

Just to let you know my experience.

The majority, but not all of them, is that what you're saying? Do you have any ideas why there are some avatars that stay while others don't?

Can you Admata check if all your K 1.5.10 jpg avatars come there correctly... gif,png etc?

Yes. That´s exactly what happened to me and I don´t have a clue why?

Checked - they didn´t. Majority of my users avatars were jpg, some few gif and png. Some jpg-pictures came with K1.6 and one png-picture. I had just a couple gif avatars and they didn´t make it, but majority of jpg and png avatars didn´t make it either.

In both times I had error message. Kunena 1.6 rc announced that "Unable to write entry". Then I took the backup option and tried again with no error messages.

I can try to migrate once again if you think it was just some occasional error in installation. Is there any advice for that I should pay a special attention to before I give another try?

I simply drop all jos_kunena_ tables with phpMyAdmin, delete Kunena files in components, admin and media folder and replace old Kunena 1.5.10 files? That´s what I did before and replaced Kunena 1.5.10 had all avatars in there place.

EDIT: Still testing - so no emergency here :)
