In summary this is a discussion topic about K 1.6 - we are not here to argue the merits or demerits of various Joomla site templates that may, or may not, be compatible with the current version of Joomla's system plugins. The fact remains that K 1.6 requires J! 1.5.18 as a minimum version in order to operate and, as part of that operation, it requires the enabling of Mootools 1.2. That's it; end of argument.

K 1.5.11 is not under discussion here. This is the Kunena 1.6 test reports category. Please keep discussion on topic. Thank you. :)

As sozzled said, Kunena forum should not be used to blame other software or templates. RocketTheme has many templates from where some of them work very well with Kunena and some of them have issues, mostly because of Joomla comes with very old version of Mootools and because of that every component and module are using their own custom JavaScript framework.

Kunena 1.6 Alpha2 comes with new version of Mootools 1.2 library, which will hopefully fix some of the issues with templates needing MT1.1.

Please continue reporting any issues you find with MT1.2 as it will get included into J1.5.19 in the middle of July. There will be option to turn it on and off, but more reports we get now, more likely it will be that users can turn the feature on and benefit from fresh and new JS framework. :)
