Kunena 7.0.3 Released
The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.3 [K 7.0.3] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0
Question How can I add an specific ID item # into a Kunena link?

RCheesley wrote: That works for the main forum, but it does NOT work for subforums/categories. It doesn't matter what module position you use, or WHAT module you try to publish, it is not possible to set *ANY* modules to appear specifically on *ANY* of the menu items which are relating to Kunena except for the main forum link. The other links pick up modules which are assigned to the main menu item (the link to the main forum), but NOT any that are assigned to the sub menus or categories themselves.
I feel like I've said this a hundred times already!
Yup, that is really another issue. I tried to create a menu item, and it is terrible this way once you need to make it published, but even making it published, I didn't get to plublish the ads within the sub-categories using the positions commands. This stuff really needs to be reviewed. I don't know how it used to work with the previous version because I've never used ads, but it doesn't work for k1.6
Now, the weird stuff is... Is this Kunena we are posting here K1.6? I get to see that within the Kunena > Miscellaneous, off-topic and general Joomla > Miscellaneous, off-topic and general Joomla
There is a AD.
If it is 1.6, how was it added?
Kunena 2.0.4 | 2013-01-18 [ Pharmacopoeia ], J!1.5.25, rhuk_milkyway, CB 1.8.1, AUP 1.5.13, UddeIM 2.5 and Akeeba Backup 3.3.9

I moved this discussion into the "miscellaneous" category the day that it was created (nearly three weeks ago) because I have no idea what we are discussing. When someone shows me a picture of what we're discussing, and if we should put this category elsewhere, then we'll consider moving it.iLucato wrote: Now, the weird stuff is... The subject is "How can I add an specific ID item # into a Kunena link?"
(1) Can we agree on what link we are discussing, please?
(2) Can we agree on what idemID we are discussing, please?
(3) Can we agree on what version of Kunena we are discussing, please?
Thank you

As with you, my itemid does not carry through, and the thread is assigned it's own ID.

I tried having them on a menu which was not displayed, and even though they were published, the modules did not show.
Not sure if your issue is the same as mine was though.

Do you know where I can find the latest Kunena beta?
I started a new topic with a link to the problem on my test site here:http://www.kunena.com/forum/168-k-16-support/64859-adding-a-custom-itemid-to-a-forum
If you have a mo, it would be great if you could check it out. I'm trying to deep-link to a forum and retain my Joomla nav system.
There seams to be two factions on this topic: Those that feel that navigation should be controlled with ItemID and those that feel that some sort of router in Kunena can handle it all and retain the joomla menus. How it can do that without the ItemID I don't know
Regards,
Shaun
