I have fireboard 1.0.3 on Joomla 1.0.15 now. Do I need the converter to convert the current db before I install Kenena 1.5.8 on Joomla 1.5.15?

I only could find instruction in parts here and there. Is there any one place documentation on doing fireboard 1.0.3 to Kenena 1.5.8 on Joomla 1.5?

Just installing Kunena will work, but if you did not use converter, you will need to manually enter your FB configuration into Kunena.

I would do it like this:

* Backup
* Put FireBoard offline
* Install converter and follow the instructions (well, there's not much in there)
* Uninstall FireBoard
* Install Kunena
* Change menu links to point Kunena instead of FB
* Log in as admin and test your forum
* Put Kunena back online

Thank you Matias,

So, the DB tables are the same as before?

If I just manually set it up just like fireboard, it should be ok then?

Can I just copy the DB tables to the new Joomla 1.5 site?

Thanks for clarification.

DB tables in Kunena and Fireboard are same?
The only difference is the configuration right?
I can copy the FB tables to the new Kunena tables?

Thanks.

Hello,

yes the database tables in kunena and fireboard are nammed jos_fb_*. You can copy this tables to your new site,but you can't replace the tables created with fireboard on the kunena installation.

I don't provide support by PM, because this can be useful for someone else.

Hello xillibit,

Then what do you suggest from fireboard 1.0.3 on Joomla 1.0.15 to Kunena 1.5.7 on Joomla 1.5?

Should I upgrade fireboard to Kunena first? Then copy them on Joomla 1.0.15 to Kunena on Joomla 1.5?

Any suggestions?

Thanks.
