Question Categories private on kunena
Hi,You need to set inherit child objects to yes
When you create the forum there will be a "inheret" option below. Set both to yes and try again....
I think thats what you mean
no, becasue if I set yes, the unregistred can see also the posts in the categories. I want that can see only the name of categories, and if they want see the posts should be logged in!

Now this is where I have to completely disagree with the writer's premise because the idea violates the first law of security: The best way to keep a secret is to not tell anyone that you're keeping something secret. If I set a category only for registered player the unregistered can't see the category. I want, as all other board for Joomla: that an unregistered player can see the category but can't go inside.
Let me put it to you another way. Suppose the Government of your country had secret plans to invade another country. Now, even though all governments have secret plans to invade other countries and every country in the world would love to get their hands on the secret plans that others have, there's not much incentive for foreign countries to send in their spies to discover these secret plans, is there? But, suppose someone discovered a locked filing cabinet drawer that was marked "Secret plans to invade other countries"? This would be like a red rag to a bull - people would be trying their hardest to find a way to unlock the filing cabinet so that they could get their hands on the "secret" contents.
The same is true for private categories. We all know that most discussion boards have categories that are reserved for "special discussions", don't we? But we don't advertise their existence to casual passers-by, do we?
I am not aware of a single Joomla forum, or any forum that has any credible self-respect, that "advertises" the existence of private areas but does not permit access to them. This kind of feature is not only counter-intuitive, it goes against every principle of basic security.
Kunena allows you to have private categories. Private categories are not displayed to users who have no access to them. That's the way it works and, in my opinion, that's the way that it should work and that's the way that all other, reputable and respectable discussion boards operate, too.

Now you are claiming that this isn't what you want: only registered users should be able to see the list of topics and to view the contents. Yes, I understand that and the answer is easy; Kunena already has a setting to do that. Use Registered Users Only = Yes. Problem solved.
