No, the only recommended template is default_ex. Template default will be dropped in one of the further releases.
@Sovietaced:
Thank you for reporting us this error message. If we find no solution, we will point it to the DEV Team.
1. Can you repeat this error?
2. Did you test, what happens, when you redirect NOT to Kunena forum, but to another item of your website? Best would be, to redirect to another component.
3. Do you have a SEF Extension installed?

Thank you sozzled. Anyway I am using the latest version of kunena, after the problem I had before. To repeat this error I would either have to try logging in or submitting an article after waiting for my session to expire. Preferably after my session is over or at least playing with the session length and staying idle.
I will try to redirect the login to another component and I am NOT using an SEF extension.
Thank you for the support.

Soviet,
Based on the input you have given I have tried to reproduce the problem using the variables you have stated. However, the only way I was able to reproduce it was by enabling cache, and or the system cache plugin. As stated by sozzle the default gray template does cause problems but, even with that template I had was not able to reproduce the invalid token issue unless, like I said cache was enabled.
I also use a JoomlaArt template "JA Opal" and so given the circumstances in theory I should experience the same output as you.
In any case to help you more, could you provide the version of joomla, and some of the extensions you currently use? It may be possible for other applications to be conflicting with kunena.

Invalid token is probably Joomla 1.5 bug which haven't been found. I get it sometimes when I try to log in, with and without Kunena installed.
