Kunena 7.0.5 & Kunena 6.4.11 – Security Updates Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.5 [K 7.0.5] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0.

The Kunena team is also pleased to announce the eleventh version of Kunena 6.4, a native Joomla extension for Joomla! 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 6.0.

notice the component manager is displaying the correct 1.0.9 version

Messing around in DB often end in misery. Probably you haven't removed all tables.

Since you already are on that road, make sure you have removed all kunena (fb_..., including prefix_fb_version) tables before installing K1.0.9. Fix your install before debugging. It may be something wrong with your install.

OK problem sorted now.. seems the first installation of 1.5 left the tables in there, possibly by design (fb_*) for future installations.

As I'm still getting to know Joomla and only installed it for the first time yesterday I decided to just dump my current install and start again..

This time loaded 1.0.9 from the start and all is working great.

n.b. @core2: I was not messing in the DB, just having a look around to get a better understanding of how things work.. did not make any manual changes in the DB, only used Joomla front end.
