First off, I have no background to re-write this kind of stuff. All I was asking for was a yes, sure this can be done, or no, sorry, it's not possible without writing a new module for the Kunena software.
Not sure if I have caught you on a bad couple of days or not, but you do not seem to be able to respond.... at least to me in a good manor. I have only asked a couple questions and so far feel that I'm un-wanted here on the forum from you.
Ok, you didn't understand what I mean by the first post here and I re-posted to try and explain my question in detail.
On the other question I posted www.kunena.com/forum?func=view&catid=77&id=13843 you answered my question but someone else answered what I needed to hear and because I responded to that person you got up set on that topic. Also I did do a search through the forums before posting, just was not searching for JomSocial as I did not know what the software was to be do a search on.
I may be completely off track here but so far I feel that in your posts/responses to my topics that you I'm un-welcome to post a question if it's easy for someone to answer or if it's else where on the board though I did a search and could not find it.
Anyways, I know this is off topic from the initial post but honestly tired of the diggs at me. I run a few forums myself and if someone asks a stupid question or one that I can not understand, will try and respond in a professional manor.
Thanks

Pause for a moment and think about what you are asking. You want a module - remember: just about everything in Joomla is a module - that mimics the standard Kunena display. You don't want to change the standard Kunena forum module because you're happy with the way it works when you select "go to my Kunena forum page"?I would like to see a block ... on the front page that connects to the Kunena forum.
You'll have to develop your own "my Kunena front page display" module.

Off-topic: I'm sorry if you think my demeanour is abrasive. I'm trying to answer your questions as I understand what you've asked: promptly, efficiently and without unnecessary elaboration or jumping-to-conclusions. At times, I agree, my responses are curt, blunt, matter-of-fact, or to the point. I have never criticised someone for asking a question, nor passed a value judgement on the calibre of the question (or the person asking it) and I never would.
I answered your question in my second response to you. I said "the short answer is no". I elaborated further on that response when you provided me with more information. Unfortunately (for you) the further information that you provided to me did not change my original assessment. I'm sorry about that.
I'm just an ordinary user, mate. I just come here to find out answers, learn about Kunena, find out what works and what doesn't. I learn from other people's mistakes; I see the problems that they have and (I hate to sound cynical) a large number of these problems are caused by people trying to do something that Kunena wasn't intended for.
I can only state my opinions in relation to my experience of Kunena and what I've observed from browsing through the discussion forums. I do not address matters of how www.kunena.com is designed or developed; so if my answers omit these details I hope you understand where I'm coming from.
Sometimes I have the answer, sometimes I don't. I try to do my bit, to give back to this community that has helped me, if I can. Most of the time other ordinary users, like you, appreciate what I've done for them. Most of the time the developers appreciate what I do, too, because I take some of the "heat" off them. Many times, however, I come in for bruising treatment from a couple of moderators (and I think their treatment is somewhat unprofessional) but that's life and I keep my mouth closed and my fingers off the keyboard. I don't think it's fair, carterx, to accuse an ordinary user like me, who has no vested interest in Kunena (except as a user), of unprofessional or demeaning conduct. And certainly I never, ever, impugned that you (or your question) was stupid ... and for that I think you could extend to me the courtesy of an apology.
I try to help. Sometimes my advice isn't what people want to hear but I don't think I should have to apologise for it, do you?

Hi carterx, I'm sorry to tell you there's no easy way of achieving this...
But, I think you could get good results with joomla extension "juni" extensions.joomla.org/extensions/1023/details , although you may need to study it ;)
Also, a easy solution would be to pick any of the custom code module extensions, and copy paste kunena code into a module, or get any that could do a wrapper of your kunena latets messages URL.
But, these are clearly ,just workarounds, that would work, and with tweaking they would look good, but not exactly what you're looking for
