Question White page and installation failure.

I'm having the same issue as this on my dev server. Any "common" solution to this?

I'm running:
PHP Version 5.2.6
MySql version 5.0.67

I've got error reporting set to max & I get nothing but a blank page. This was an upgrade from Fireboard 1.0.5 to Kuena v1.0.9.

Okay, after seeing a post here I decided to turn off community builder integration & this "fixed" my problem. My next step is to try upgrading those components.

If integration fixed your problems, you probably run out of allowed memory in PHP. It's not enough to turn error reporting to max, you have to either read error log from Apache or turn on error reporting into screen from PHP.

Ok. I had the same problem and now I have installed Kunena 1.5.

First i unzipped the downloaded file to a local directory on my computer, then i created a folder called kunena in the tmp folder of Joomla on the server. I uploaded all the unzipped files on my local computer to the tmp/kunena folder.

I ran Install from a Directory and pointed the path to the tmp/kunena folder.

Installation was successful. I guess it is because of the 30 second timeout. As some of us have our sites on shared hostings, it may or may not be possible to get the hosting company to increase the timeout period.

Give this a shot and i am sure it would work.
