installation help was created by mattwhipp
probably sounds obvious but I'm a beginner. So, I've downloaded the zip file, unpacked it, ftp-ed up to a folder in my joomla installation called - logically - forum. Now I'm in the CMS management - as per instructions - installing extension. pointed the URL at mydomain.co.uk/forum. Can't get it to work though. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? ideally i'd like a single package i can upload direct from my desktop though

I don't provide support by PM, because this can be useful for someone else.

You must copy thanks to your ftp client the files for the kunena forum in the directory tmp and then in the part installation you copy the url which would be http://joomla/tmp, and click on install

Still having problems. I have copied the installation files into tmp directory of my installation (which is no longer in a directory joomla but at the root). Have uploaded teh zip file into the folder forum. What form should the directory or URLs take to locate them?
