Kunena 7.0.2 Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.2 [K 7.0.2] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.3.x/5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0

This is for users to help other users, to discuss topics that relate to migrating from other web-based forums and converting the data into a form that will operate with Kunena.

It is important to note that the Kunena team does not have a standard, recommended or supported protocol for these ideas and that posting questions in this category may not receive advice from team members.

that's the issue.

1) New joomla 1.5 and kunena 1.7.2, don't edit settings or removing categories, just leave it as it is.
2) Install kunena importer
3) Do the migrate job. (phpbb)
4) when finished, update to kunena 2.0.4
5) Export the #__kunena_* tables
6) use spupgrade or other migrator to J3.3.6
7) import the kunena tables to the new database (where you installed j3.3.6)
8) Update kunena to the lasted version.
9) do recount
10) do user sync
11) edit categories and section. (permissions)
12) That's all.

Lazaruso wrote: The kunena importer is full of errors. I tried all the available methods but couldn't get it to work and that was why i tried the fireboard method. Moving form phpbb3 to kunena using the kunena importer will reset all thread views to zero.

This is a know issue. I have fixed that issue on my own importer component. I can't release it for free, I need some income. Later this month/next month, i'm selling the new importer.

This is fixed on Kunena 3.0.6

So you should :
1) migrate to fireboard.
2) Export #__fb_*
3) Then you migrate to J3.3.6
4) Import the fb tables, in the J3.3.6 version
5) install Kunena 3.0.6
