Kunena 6.3.8 Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 6.3.8 [K 6.3.8] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 4.4.x/5.0.x/5.1.x/5.2.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 6.3
Note: Please go to the Kunena Dashboard after an upgrade so that the Kunena database tables are also updated.

This is for users to help other users, to discuss topics that relate to migrating from other web-based forums and converting the data into a form that will operate with Kunena.

It is important to note that the Kunena team does not have a standard, recommended or supported protocol for these ideas and that posting questions in this category may not receive advice from team members.

I'm trying to export an old SMF message board to Kunena. Is there a way that this can be done without copy and pasting hundreds of posts?

SMF 2.0 RC5
Kunena 2.0.4
Joomla 2.5.9

Try this. Attachments and photos do not survive the import.

Though, if you went from SMF2, to PHPBB3, to Kunena, the attachments might survive.

All done.

A bit fiddley. I had to downgrade Kunena, move SMF forum to phpBB3, move phpBB3 to another domain then convert to Kunena 1.7.

But well worth it

Cheers
