Kunena 6.1.0 Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 6.1.0 [K 6.1.0] which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 4.3.x & J! 4.2.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.0 and issues discovered during the development stages of K 6.0

This is for users to help other users, to discuss topics that relate to migrating from other web-based forums and converting the data into a form that will operate with Kunena.

It is important to note that the Kunena team does not have a standard, recommended or supported protocol for these ideas and that posting questions in this category may not receive advice from team members.

Hi,
I am not sure of the correct category in which I am posting, so first of all I apologize.
After a long battle of 2 days I've able to migrate and old phpbb3 version 3.02 to a new joomla website, using your kunena forum importer. My problem is that, as I've read for other users, arguments and relpies are both set to "0", even if they are full of discussions?
Can anyone help me to solve this issue?
Actually I have the last version of kunena 2.0.3 and Joomla 2.5.8
Thanks

Roberto

That is correct. There is no K 2.0 Kunena Importer component. To migrate your forum from phpBB2 to Kunena you need to first import your phpBB2 forum to K 1.7 and then upgrade from K 1.7 to K 2.0.

Really ?!

I suppose it's the same with phpbb 3 to K2 ? So I've got to deinstall my K2, install K1.7, import phpbb 3 and upgrade to K2?

It is a lot of work, still I have problems.

 1. update phpbb3 forum to a newer version (mine was 3.0.4)
 2. install a joomla and import phpbb3 on same database
 3. Install kunena 1.7
 4. install kunena forum importer
 5. import items one by one not all together, here if your forum is veru big you will have a lot of problems, because of timeouts
 6. Then upgrade your kunena to newer version and run sql query to update replies and post count
You should be good in db knowledge or it is very difficult to end...
Merry Xmas to everybody
