I understand your frustration with the issues in Kunena 6.4.2, but I feel I should point out that Kunena is a free extension developed and maintained by volunteers who sacrifice their precious free time for it.
These developers aren't paid employees with dedicated work hours - they're individuals who contribute their skills and energy to create something beneficial for the community.
While reporting bugs is helpful, the tone of your message comes across as quite demanding.Perhaps a more constructive approach would be to report the specific issues you're experiencing through the proper channels, with details that could help the developers identify and fix the problems.
Everyone benefits when we maintain a respectful community atmosphere, especially when interacting with volunteers who are giving their time freely to maintain and improve tools we all use.

I can only repeat what I’ve already said: this is not the first or second time you’ve made unexpected statements when I report certain development issues. This happens on the Kunena forum and on GitHub (
github.com/Kunena/Kunena-Forum/issues/98...uecomment-2671066375
), and I’m genuinely surprised that an unprofessional person is handling something they’re completely unfamiliar with. This is my subjective opinion, and you can even ban me from the forum, but my stance won’t change. It’s hard for me to imagine that such absurd issues, which I’ve described, could have occurred with Kunena a few years ago.
So, when I talk about technical issues on the forum, you suggest I use other channels; when I do the same on GitHub, you rudely tell me to report bugs on the forum, while making unfair claims against me. Excuse me, but I have no more time to discuss your nonsense.
I offered you admin rights on my live site so that, if you couldn’t reproduce the issue, you could see for yourself that the problem truly exists. My offer still stands, but that’s all I can offer you.

The display of topics in recent discussions is controlled by differents settings located in two places. First we need to know what settings you have defined in these two places. One place is in the menu :
The other place is in Kunena configuration :
The other place is in Kunena configuration :
What do you mean ?all forum threads now publish the moderator's nickname.

I think this is the wrong approach. Let me explain my perspective on the situation.
I’ve been using the Kunena forum on my website for 15 years. During this time, the forum has come a long way. However, never, even during the most significant upgrades, have the forum settings been reset the way they are now. I can’t imagine that back when I was communicating here with Sozzled and 810, such issues could have even occurred. All settings are preserved even during major Joomla updates, and Kunena is just a component. Why, after updating from 6.3 to 6.4, am I forced to investigate which settings were preserved and which were lost? I’m not a developer or a tester of the forum; frankly, I simply don’t have the time for this. After the update, the forum even changed its name to the default one—this is unthinkable.

I spent most of the afternoon today testing upgrades. I never encountered the configuration error. The error did not occur in pre-release testing either.
In the meantime, however, another user has also reported this problem, so the error is not an isolated case.
Important! Always create a backup before you make any changes to your website!

Nevertheless, in these fifteen years, I have never encountered such a disrespectful tone, which one of your team members repeatedly allows themselves toward someone reporting errors. Perhaps this is the source of my discomfort with this case. The Kunena development team has never displayed such unprofessionalism, and I have communicated with many. Also in the past, some users have encountered unexpected errors or conflicts due to upgrades.
