Hi fstitna,
problem occurs as Joomla sets a new values "active" for new users who have not set a language preference during registration. Kunena CKEditor cannot handle that as it used to be "default" or "". I reported this here: www.kunena.org/forum/k-6-2-0-support/168...wing?start=20#231507
Pinkeltje also tried to tell me that my Joomla is broken, then my Kunena. In the end xillibit created a patch that works. It is linked in 2nd last post of topic.
You can easliy verify. Let the user change his Joomla profile language to "default" and it should work. Then you can still apply the patch.

Thanks for the link. I looked at that but I already had the editor & language set to "default" and I am running 4.4.5 not 5.x. Any other ideas?
