I deleted kunena and also all the tables from db. I installed new/latest version and I can normally safe new categories, everything works normal, but can I now insert the old tables or rather my content?

Complete delete is not a good idea, then you need also the folders in media/kunena where are saved the images ad avatars. Better to uninstall via the Joomla installer.
Is your database not broken, you can use your backup version. Should not be a problem. Copy back only the Kunena tables.
But you should also to clarify wherefrom comes the Joomla error message. It seems that is connected with your Kunena problem.

Hi Rich, I guess I localized the problem area. I have inserted many tables with my old content to the db with new installation. Same problem happens: I cannot save new categories. Once I change the kunena category table, at least I can again enter the categories in the backend and in the frontend the forum appears. There must be a bug in the category table. I would pay the person who checks this table. One year ago I upgraded kunena from a Joomla 1.5 site to 3.x site. I guess here same probs came up.

martinsai wrote: I set error report to maximum and now I dont have access to backend anymore, just I have a blnc page with this information:

Warning: ini_set(): A session is.......

I will try to reset this and be back

I forgot to say, if you are changing Joomla-setting and you can't go to the backend any more, you need only a backup from the configuration.php. In this file are all the Joomla settings saved.

You use phpMyAdmin? If you want you can send me the tables to rich@*kunena.org (address without star).
