ok, if you don't have any custom icons or css.

Then go to backend - extensions - manage - manage - search kunena - select all kunena , except the modules then uninstall.
Then install the package again.

You need only set the kunena template setting again, to your preferences

because there is still a file/dir on your ftp, that's has been removed on K4.0 and K5.0.

best way is to uninstall kunena.
then check these dir has been removed:
administrator/components/com_kunena
components/com_kunena
libraries/kunena

I think you still see the dir, because protected, or damaged dir. Try to delete those dir, or rename them.

Then reinstall kunena again, then you will not have any issues, in the future.
