Which version you want to install? K4.0.0-RC1? Try to clean Joomla cache. And try again. Please see here: www.kunena.org/forum/k-3-0-installation-...lation-failed#164325

Is-it a clean install or a migration for a previous ? It's a migration from which version ?

I don't provide support by PM, because this can be useful for someone else.

You are on local machine, but do-you using WAMP ? If it's not teh case what are-you using ?

Do-you cache enabled into Joomla! configuration panel ?

Can-you enable debug mode and set error reporting to maximum into Joomla! configuration panel and re-try to install, you can look in the same time to IE developement console if you see something ?
