Hello everyone.

I edited this post so I don't write a new one.

Searching online hoping to find some hint, I found out that SEO is actually having problems with Kunena.

I disabled it from the global configuration and all the forums work perfectly!

So what can I do now? It only happens to the forums that were created recently, some old ones are accessible.

Thanks for your time!

I have been working on this, and wow is driving me crazy :S

Ok so disabling the SEO grants me access to some part of the forums (access to all folders) but not everything (can not access the latest topics)

There is this topic in particular. When I am offline, it shows the number of replies and how many times have been seen. At the moment I log in (I am the super user) I cannot see the number of replies anymore, appear as 0.

In both cases, when I click the link it gets me an "Access denied. You don't have permission to see this page!"

Any hint? Smells that it all have to do with the permissions of the web site. With a backup at hand, I move (almost) everything inside the categories and topics in the kunena's data base tables but I ended up with nothing.

Thanks everyone. And Merry Christmas!

I have it in localhost but maybe I can upload it to the server.

Migration and installation procedure
Here is what I have done so far:
. I had a (2.x) Joomla version of my website, with the last version of Kunena.
. Update (migrate) the site to version 3.x
. Downloaded to localhost. Runs great (!)
. I select from the database what do I need to copy to a new site. I analyze each table of the database and ended up with a group
. Create a new, fresh Joomla 3.x localhost site (!!)
. Copy / Paste, between many tables, mainly users and users_*,
. The migration of the users is done. Works perfectly
. Install Kunena for Joomla 3.x
. Replace (most) of the tables from the updated, migrated site. This tables includes mainly *_kunena_attachments, *_kunena_categories, *_kunena_topics, and *_kunena_users
. Move some folders of the previous site, mainly attachments and images
. Kunena and the new site runs excellent
. Kunena page has all the information from the previews site, including images, attachments, categories and topics
. I wanted to access to some folders of the forum (casually the last ones I created in the previous site) and throws that "cannot be found"
. Disabled Joomla SEO
. The folders can now be accessed
. The threads in those folders are unable to access. They show a "Access denied. You don't have permission to see this page!"
. This is only happening to the recent threads.
. I can access as the super user
. If I login to Kunena, those threads appear that they have 0 responses. If not, shows the real number of responses
. Something interesting, to one of the threads I moved it outside that folder to another that I can access and bingo! The thing is that I was editing the tables of the site, so I cannot be sure if it can be accessed because of that. Mainly I replaced some data to make it look the same as the rest of the threads, which this ones were different.

(!) I have some problem with the template. I tried to fix it but couldn't.
(!!) I am looking forward to have a new, fresh Joomla installed, not an update of a migration to 3.x

That's pretty much what I have done so far. I tried editing the tables and I couldn't resolve the problem.

Please, let me know if this a correct way of doing it. Actually I am not a web site developer.

Thanks for your time!

try to rename the htaccess.txt to .htaccess on your root. this will enable the sef functions, now you can enable all sef options.

Thanks 810.

I renamed the root file to "htaccess.htaccess" then enable the ref options and still can't access to those folders and files. We get the same "no permission to access"

You think if I upload the site you can check it out?

Thanks once again!
