Question Edit post relaces bbc tags with html tags

php 5.3.28

I posted up something in my board using standard bbc for bold type and this worked as expected when posted.

But whenever I try to edit the post the tags are being replaced by html automatically.

Can someone point me in the direction of what I button I need to press to stop this happening?

maybe you have a plugin that's optimize the code

I vaguely remember this happening, years ago, when people used the RokCandy plugin from Rockettheme in some of their old Joomla templates.

I thought that Rockettheme had either fixed this problem or they removed the plugin. This story may help: Some BBCodes replaced by HTML tags after editing message - caused by RokCandy

It may not be RokCandy causing the problem in this case. It may help to see your configuration report . It's possible that some Javascript optimiser is responsible (as 810 suggested) but it's difficult to know for sure.

Sounds like a Javascript library conflict to me.
