Kunena 7.0.5 & Kunena 6.4.11 – Security Updates Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.5 [K 7.0.5] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0.

The Kunena team is also pleased to announce the eleventh version of Kunena 6.4, a native Joomla extension for Joomla! 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 6.0.

If you are having problems then, for your own benefit, it would save us all a lot of time if you would kindly post your configuration report when you ask for help from this forum. If you do not post your configuration report we will not ask you for it but you will probably not get your problem solved, either.

So when you start a new topic the icons you wish to choose to represent your post are bloated!
So your presented with a ugly vertical strip that you have to scroll down until reaching the topic area.
How can I fix this so the topic icon / barcode displays horizontally like it should be?
I have also attached 3 screenshots of what is happening. THANKS! ;)

I am not sure that I completely understand what you mean by icons that appear bloated (like you have shown in your images), but I would like to make two suggestions:

1) I strongly suggest that you change your forum integration plugins as shown in red below:

Kunena - AlphaUserPoints Disabled
Kunena - Community Builder Disabled
Kunena - Gravatar Disabled
Kunena - JomSocial Disabled
Kunena - Joomla Enabled: access=1 login=1
Kunena - Kunena Enabled: avatar=1 profile=1
Kunena - UddeIM Disabled

2) I strongly suggest that you uninstall the add-on plugins JomSocial - My Kunena Forum Menu 2.0.3 and JomSocial - Kunena Groups 2.0.3. These add-ons do not work with K 3.0.

I have a feeling that the problem you are having is caused by your Joomla site template CSS (see My Joomla site template makes a mess of Kunena ... . I think I have seen this problem once or twice before but I cannot remember exactly what was the cause.

First things first: make the changes I recommended and we will see what ideas we can come up with to address your problem.

"1) I strongly suggest that you change your forum integration plugins as shown in red below:"

By change do you mean enable them?

"2) I strongly suggest that you uninstall the add-on plugins JomSocial - My Kunena Forum Menu 2.0.3 and JomSocial - Kunena Groups 2.0.3. These add-ons do not work with K 3.0."

I have never uninstalled plugins before could you walk me through this process please?

Sorry I'm such a noob, I just don't want to mess anything up.

Ok I have the ones you suggested in red now disabled.

I can just ignore this part right, no changes here?

Kunena - Joomla Enabled: access=1 login=1
Kunena - Kunena Enabled: avatar=1 profile=1

Now for the two you said two uninstall:

JomSocial - My Kunena Forum Menu 2.0.3
JomSocial - Kunena Groups 2.0.3

Im not seeing these or at least the JomSocial part in the title.
I did find these though:
My Forum Menu 2.0.3
Kunena Groups 2.0.3

Both were already disabled, are these the two you mean?
If so, should I still uninstall them, even if they were already disabled?

The images are exactly how they are appearing, blown up and oversized instead of being the actual size. So they are in this huge vertical strip. Does that make more sense?
