The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.5 [K 7.0.5] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0.

The Kunena team is also pleased to announce the eleventh version of Kunena 6.4, a native Joomla extension for Joomla! 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 6.0.

If you are having problems then, for your own benefit, it would save us all a lot of time if you would kindly post your configuration report when you ask for help from this forum. If you do not post your configuration report we will not ask you for it but you will probably not get your problem solved, either.

Question Any way to disable the timeout of green "NEW" identifier next to title of unread posts?

Users are logging in to our forum and going about their day before reading all new posts. When they return, the system has timed out the "new" icon, making it difficult for them to identify unread posts. While using "Recent Topics" is a good way to locate unread posts, we would prefer to disable the timeout so the "NEW" identifiers disappear only after the post has been selected. Any advice?

Unless you hack into the Kunena source code, I know of no other way to "disable" the timeout. This may not help but I suggest you read what has been written before on this subject: New indicator disappears

One of the developers may like to comment, perhaps.

please add kunena report, there was a bug in > K3.0.2, we did fix it.
In K3.1 the time limit is set to keep it until 3 months.

K 3.1 does not exist and there is no way to test it, unfortunately, is there?
