That's an interesting question. I have not see this facility in other forums (perhaps you could give us some examples of other forum products that have this facility). This facility has never been incorporated in any version of Kunena in the 6 years that Kunena has been available; the facility did not exist in Fireboard—the product on which Kunena was based—and it does not exist in Joomlaboard or SMF upon which Fireboard/ and, later, Kunena were developed.

I cannot say, for certain, if this idea will never be incorporated into Kunena in the future. If such an idea was to be incorporated into Kunena in the future, it would be a fair guess to assume that it will not be in the near future because of all the other work that the developers are currently engaged in.

It would be possible, I suppose, for someone to develop an optional extra facility—perhaps as a module—but I am not aware of any plans for this to occur.
