Kunena 7.0.5 & Kunena 6.4.11 – Security Updates Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.5 [K 7.0.5] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0.

The Kunena team is also pleased to announce the eleventh version of Kunena 6.4, a native Joomla extension for Joomla! 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 6.0.

If you are having problems then, for your own benefit, it would save us all a lot of time if you would kindly post your configuration report when you ask for help from this forum. If you do not post your configuration report we will not ask you for it but you will probably not get your problem solved, either.

Question You don't have permission (to do anything) - WAMP site

Whatever I try I can't set permissions to open new topics for everyone. On my test site (J3.1 kunena 3.0, wampserver) I have set categories and security to allow access to public and I want everyone to do more or less anything in the forum. BUT STILL I GET "You don't have permission...." or Administrator has refused access (or something like that).
Part of the problem is that the forum is so complicated that users will never be able to understand it. I can't fathom it out yet.
I realize that it is voluntary work by a motivated team, but I'm afraid it's grown into a sort of Moloch! How about a simple version without sections, categories etc. etc. where users can enter postings about anything they like and search with a search engine to find postings they are interested in?

Did you read my reply to your earlier question ? Can we deal with this issue first, please, or is this new topic merely a continuation of the one you created half a day ago?

Did you try logging in to your forum?

You are aware, of course, that our ability to assist you is severely limited when your site is served locally on your PC. The problems you are having now may not exist if your site was hosted on a commercially setup, hosted platform instead of running on WAMP. Resolving WAMP-related issues is outside the scope of help we can provide on this forum.

How about having a look at Simple forum setup instructions
