Hello,

I'm running Joomla 3.2.3 and Kunena 3.0.5.

I have created a "private" category with read rights only to a user group called "prestataires" and SuperUsers.

When somebody is logged in, the category is well displayed (I mean only to members of the selected groups) but the category is shown to every unregistred users ! How can I solve that ?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Emmanuel

I think the reason that you have not received a reply is because we do not fully understand the exact problem that you seem to be having

If you are referring to a category called "Forums privés" on your site then I don't quite understand the problem. When I went to your website I could not see any topics in your "Forums privés" category, therefore what do you mean when you wrote

Well, I was unregistered and I could not see the topics in that category. Perhaps you mean a different category on your site?

Thank you for working on this topic.

Yes, the private part is "forum privés" and you couldn't see any topic in this section because there was no topic inside. I was waiting to be able to hide this complete section, including its title before posting.
I have created a "debug" topic and this topic is shown to unregistered users.
When I log in using a test account, this topic and the complete category are hidden.

It sounds like you know how to set up the category permissions to achieve the result you want.

Let me see if I understand you correctly. Are you saying that I could not see topics in your Forums privés category because there were are topics in that category or are you saying that I should not even be aware that you have a Forum privés category?

If you have a category where you created your "debug" topic and the "complete category" is hidden, why not use the same technique with your Forums privés category?

My problem is very simple :
The "forums privés" section and all its contents should not be displayed to unregistrered users.
You should not even be aware that the Forum privés section exists.

Only SuperUsers and "prestataires" group of users should see it.
