Neokeyzer: The technique for making announcements in K 3.0 is the same as described in the topic K 2.0: How to make and edit announcements .

Alacardjr: To "convert" a post into an announcement, the easiest way go to the post and use the EDIT button, copy the BBCode (with CTRL-V), then use the announcement feature and paste (with CTRL-C) the text you copied and then save it. Should be fairly self-explanatory.

BTW, welcome to both of you to the forum. ;)

Hi,
site is voileux.org , Joomla 3.2, protostar, Kunena 303

How to setup moderator ID for creating, editing announcements ?
on the wiki I have read
> Simply turn on announcements in the Kunena backend >> Done

>and enter the Joomla User-IDs of the moderators or administrators, who are entitled to write announcements >> where ? which menu ? option ? users ? tools ?
I have set Global moderators that can moderate the forum, but I can't get through the announcement management?

Thanks for help.

How to setup moderator ID for creating, editing announcements ?

This option it was available in Kunena 1.5

It's modified since Kunena 1.6 (I think). If the option "Show Announcements" (in Kunena Configuration > Frontend) is enabled, admins and global moderators can create or edit announcements.

Replied by Cassandra on topic How to use announcements
Hello,

I'm using Joomla 2.5.19 and Kunena 3.0.5.

I'm in need of adding an announcement to my main forum page, but despite the fact of searching the documentation, FAQ, and forums I cannot figure it out! (Announcements is set to Yes)

Could someone please give me a 'For Dummies' walkthrough on how to do so without using a module position (It has to match the forum template, not the site template).

Thank you in advance!

Hello,

Sometimes we need to inform all of the user about something and we dont mean to bug them with mailings. I have seen the we can post announcements in the top of the forum as a different category.
What I need is to lear how to create/post topics that anyone shall see them when they visit our forum, like "A new version of Kunena released"
