Question SW KBirthday Module support & news

Ups there was an error in the install file. Sorry! New version of the 1.8 beta www.schultschik.de/en/download/developer...mod_sw_kbirthday_dev

So svanschu, I had a b-day take place and the module "did" create the post, "But" the post is empty, it has no message inside it and it does not show up inside the category like the others. It only shows in the "Index" page which is of course the main page that shows all the "categories" but only in the "last post by" area of the category.

I did change the message in the "en-GB.mod_sw_kbirthday.ini" to:

SW_KBIRTHDAY_MESSAGE="The CAG Forum Team wishes all the best to %s. \n Health, happiness and long life, Don't forget to wash your BUTTCHEEKS!"

Could that of caused the blank message?

My settings are as follows for the module:

Categorie ID: 86
Botname: CAG Birthdaybot
Bot ID: 0

Linking: Forum Thread

As you can see, the post does show up in the Community News/Birthday Wishes , but the message is empty like I said. There are supposed to be 3 threads inside the "Birtday Wishes" forum but the 2 that were created by your module don't show up inside the category.

Is this by design?

Ok, one more thing, I tried to add a reply to the post and I got the following error:

-load-: An invalid post ID was requested.

Hmm sound curious ... My fist thinking would be: update the system. You have a old Kunena Version. In the K1.6/1.7 versions I do a lot of DB manipulating to do the forumpost, so I think there goes something wrong. And normaly there should be a kind of error message.

The topic get saved but the message not. That's curious.

Could you first setup "no link", then use the original language file, then delete the database entries in #__kunena_messages and #__kunena_messages_text which where from birthday mod, then setup forum link again and then reload the page?

That would tell if it's caused by the language file ...

If not then possibly K1.6. I've tested it with J1.5 and K1.7 ...

I don't know if you saw but I did get an error: -load-: An invalid post ID was requested.

I went to my data based and there is no entry in the #__kunena_messages_text from the birthday bot.

The #__kunena_messages entry is there though.

I did add the original language file by the way.
