First some more background. I migrated a client' site to a new server. Akeeba Backup restore did not go so well because they had a large sized archive and I believe some of the tables or php became corrupted.

Anyway, they had Community Builder and uddeIM installed previously. First I saved all their tables and looked for any corruption. Then I performed a fresh install of Joomla and restored some of their tables.

When it came to Kunena I was getting errors as I stated in my first post. I reinstalled CB and it removed that error, but a new error came up. I was getting that white screen.

As suggested I went to docs.kunena.org/index.php/How_to_diagnose_blank_page_on_kunena and read. I saw that I could see the error message if I changed the .htaccess and set error logs to maximum. I did that and I got an error which basically stated that uddeIM was missing.

So I reinstalled uddeIM and the forums worked. Unfortunately I was getting redirection loop errors when I tried to visit individual threads so I had to just do a fresh reinstall of Kunena and lost all the posts in the forum.

Lesson to all, always test to see if you sites are able to be migrated. Don't just think that if the backup completes it is a stable backup.
