It seems I have PHP version '5.2.17 ' instead of '5.2.3' which is stated in the readme. Would it cause this?

I have exactly the same problem, with PHP version 5.2.17. No idea what's causing this? FYI, here is the config report:

It stated that you minimum php version should be 5.2.3, but if you have 5.2.17, 5.3.6, it's good.

What is your community builder version ?

Community Builder is not installed. I tried to install 1.6 version of it, because sometimes it works. Some left-over pieces

However, if comprofiler is community builder then Imma try and install CB 1.7 on the first of August. Maybe that will fix the problem.

Yes, comprofiler=community builder, the latest version is 1.4 how you get an 1.6 ?

I think that community builder 1.4 isn't designed for Joomla! 1.7.0
