Process for Joomla 1.0.X
From there, select Components.
You will have a list of installed components with radio buttons to the left.
Find the Kunena component and click the radio button for it, then just click uninstall in the upper right corner.
This will uninstall the component.
Once that is done, simply go back to the Install New Component screen and browse for the new Kunena 1.0.8 zip file, select it then click upload.
It should upload and install the Kunena forum component. There should be no database changes necessary if you are going from Kunena 1.0.7 to 1.0.8.
Process for Joomla 1.5.X
Then click on the link to Components just under the words Extension Manager.
This will bring up a list of all the installed components with radio buttons to the left.
Find the Kunena component and click the radio button for it, then just click uninstall in the upper right corner.
This will uninstall the component.
Once that is done, simply go back to the Extension Manager screen, click on Install if it's not already at that screen and browse for the new Kunena 1.0.8 zip file, select it then click upload.
It should upload and install the Kunena forum component. There should be no database changes necessary if you are going from Kunena 1.0.7 to 1.0.8.
Hope this helps. If you still have questions, let me know.
Thanks.
