Updating is easy. All you really have to do is to uninstall version 1.0.7, then upload and install 1.0.8. This is done from the Joomla admin panel.
Process for Joomla 1.0.X
Process for Joomla 1.5.X
Hope this helps. If you still have questions, let me know.
Thanks.
Process for Joomla 1.0.X
Warning: Spoiler!
Just log into the Joomla admin panel then click on Installers in the top menu.
From there, select Components.
You will have a list of installed components with radio buttons to the left.
Find the Kunena component and click the radio button for it, then just click uninstall in the upper right corner.
This will uninstall the component.
Once that is done, simply go back to the Install New Component screen and browse for the new Kunena 1.0.8 zip file, select it then click upload.
It should upload and install the Kunena forum component. There should be no database changes necessary if you are going from Kunena 1.0.7 to 1.0.8.

OK!!! First and foremost. Awesome Avatar...."this is my stapler."
2nd, you are DA BOMB! That was so stinkin' easy with those directions.
A thousand thank yous! May a bus full of playboy playmates accidentally break down in front of your house on a Friday night! (if you're into that...lol)
Thanks Again.

No problem. I could always use a bus load of playboy playmates!!!
Besides, I figured it was the least I could do before I burn the whole place down.
