Question Kunena Topic to Article component

A component for automatically creating Joomla articles based on Kunena forum topics. Developed for Joomla 5 and Kunena 6.x.

Note to administrators: I couldn't find a suitable place for this topic, even in the “Kunena and other Joomla extensions” section. Please decide for yourselves which category to move it to.

My attempt to post the component documentation from GitHub here using markdowntohtml.com (Convert Markdown to HTML) and others was unsuccessful. Therefore, I am simply providing a link to this documentation.

Kunena Topic to Article component published on JED

 

The release V1.0.4 of the Kunena Topic to Article component has been posted on Github.and JED This release adds comprehensive video content handling when migrating Kunena topics to Joomla articles.
The new   helper completely transforms how video content is processed.Key Features

• Automatic video link recognition from multiple platforms (YouTube, Vimeo, and more)
• Dual processing modes:
  • With AllVideos plugin (recommended): Converts links to AllVideos tags for inline video playback
  • Standalone mode: Creates responsive, secure iframes for YouTube/Vimeo and formatted links for other platforms
• Smart detection: Automatically identifies if AllVideos plugin is installed and enabled
• Admin notifications: Recommends installing/enabling AllVideos when not available

Release 1.0.5 published - Update Server URL Fix

- Fixed update server URL in component manifest
- Corrected repository URLs in updates.xml
- Standardized version tags with capital V

This is a maintenance release that fixes the automatic update mechanism.

Installation:
Download and install via Joomla Extension Manager.

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR EXISTING USERS:
If you experience automatic update errors, please download the latest version manually and install it over your existing installation. This is a one-time fix - future updates will work automatically. The issue has been resolved in version 1.0.5+.

Release 2.0.0 published 

Changed (Breaking Changes)

• CSS embedding in articles: CSS is now embedded directly into the HTML of each created article instead of an external link to the component file
• Each article receives an independent copy of CSS from the component's media/folder at creation time
• V1.x.x format articles continue to work but require the component to be installed
