Solved How to change the user signature in Kunena 6.2.1

And the "Edit" -> "Contact details" button in the "Profile" menu item and the "Edit profile" button create some confusion.

The misunderstanding comes from the fact that you are using both profiles. "Contact details" belongs to the Community Builder profile. I don't know to what extent you want to use the CP profile, but it can be disabled in Backend -> Kunena -> Plugins -> Kunena - Community Builder Integration. Then you would no longer need the additional Edit Profile tab.

The CB profile is convenient, because it shows not only the user's posts on the forum, but also the materials created by him, as well as gives access to personal messages.. 
I do not know if access to personal messages from Kunen's profile is still available if Community Builder Integration is disabled.

I can't verify this, because after disabling Community Builder Integration, the sites stop working.

If you deactivate the CB, you must also deactivate the Kunena plugin Community Builder Integration and then possibly delete the cache. The error should then disappear.

I can't deactivate (= uninstall?) Community Builder, as this extension, is an essential component of the site.

So I put Community Builder Integration on so that the site would work at all.

It's even inconvenient for me to load you with so many questions, but I have to tell you one more thing. The button in Kunena Menu "Edit User" (I renamed it to "Profil und Unterschrift" = "Profile and Signature" for emphasis) does not work.

This was pointed out to me by an interested user, whose screenshot I am attaching. 
An attempt to remember changes in the profile, including (and when only it) the signature, results in the message "You entered information in an outdated form from another session. Please make sure that this is your account and try again!"

 

As it turned out, the same thing happens by me (I admit that I did not test it after adding this menu item).

I did not mean that you should uninstall the CB. My answer referred to your error message when the CB is deactivated. In such a case, the integration plugin must also be deactivated.

I have also tested the Edit profile menu item and confirm the error. This error has nothing to do with the CB. Unfortunately, at the moment (until the error is fixed) I see no other option than to change the signatures in the backend.

Ha ha. I just created a signature on my profile on your forum and everything went great.

Yes, I will take your advice and inform users that they can edit their profile through me.
