This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 6.3

Solved Greek characters in filename attachments

Hi

I use the latest version of Kunena in J!2.5.28.
It seems there is a problem when the users attach a file which have greek characters in filename.
The file is uploaded normally but it's not downloadable. It shows only the file size in the post and the filename is empty!

I need to transform it with english characters to get it done..But the forum is for Greeks and not all save their files with latin characters..;-)

Any ideas?

Thanks!

We made some improvements on the new version K5.0 , but you need to update joomla and kunena.

Unfortunately I need to "live" with J!2.5.28 because the project is quite big and complex to be upgraded..:-(
So I guess they need to use only english character names, right?

I think it would be nice to include these improvements also in K!4.x.
Many 4.x users can have the same problem like me..

I can confirm the issue.

1) You can use this code: github.com/Kunena/Kunena-Forum/pull/3355/files if you don't use avatars
2) Else you need to update joomla and kunena

I used this code but it doesn't work.
Actually it doesn't upload even english filenames.
I get this error:

JFile: :copy: Cannot find or read file: $tmpphppwe7NG
Failed to move avatar file to media directory

I have disabled the avatars in the configuration.
