Kunena 6.3.0 released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 6.3.0 [K 6.3.0] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 4.4.x/5.0.x/5.1.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 6.3

Topics must relate to a currently supported version of Kunena. If you are unsure what is the current supported version of Kunena, please go to the download page.

If you are having problems then, for your own benefit, it would save us all a lot of time if you would kindly post your configuration report when you ask for help from this forum. If you do not post your configuration report we will not ask you for it but you will probably not get your problem solved, either.

My business partner has informed me he has been having problems posting to our forum using is Mac.

Looking at the Kunena logs, it is Kunena ERR ID:1459

I can't see an apache errors.

According to the configuration report, the Kunena menu items are in Trash. Kunena needs intact menu items to function properly.

Hello,

So there is illegal mix of collation in your tables, with phpmyadmin you should try to put all the tables in utf8mb4_general_ci

Make a backup before doing something on your tables, it should be done at the table level :
Code:
ALTER TABLE <table_name> CONVERT TO CHARACTER SET utf8mb4 COLLATE utf8mb4_general_ci;

And too at the column level :
Code:
ALTER TABLE <table_name> MODIFY <column_name> VARCHAR(255) CHARACTER SET utf8mb4 COLLATE utf8mb4_general_ci;

n phpMyAdmin there is an easier way to change the collation of the whole database.
Load the database and click on "Operations" in the menu bar at the top.
Scroll down to "Collation
Scroll down in the pulldown window and select "utf8mb4_general_ci".
Click on "Change all table collations".
Click on "Change all column collations".
Click "OK" on the right
The message "Character set is changed" appears and goes away.
Wait until the message "Character set has been changed" appears.

Thanks for this. I also had to change the jos_kunena_aliases from the engine MyISAM to InnoDB.

I am wondering if I need to do the same for all the tables.
