Kunena 6.3.3 released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 6.3.3 [K 6.3.3] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 4.4.x/5.0.x/5.1.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 6.3
Note: Please go to the Kunena Dashboard after an upgrade so that the Kunena database tables are also updated.

Topics must relate to a currently supported version of Kunena. If you are unsure what is the current supported version of Kunena, please go to the download page.

If you are having problems then, for your own benefit, it would save us all a lot of time if you would kindly post your configuration report when you ask for help from this forum. If you do not post your configuration report we will not ask you for it but you will probably not get your problem solved, either.

Question Problem with PDF attachments

We have a problem with pdf attachments to posts on our website.  The behaviour differs slightly depending on browser; in Firefox the attachment is downloaded with a hashed filename (from the filename field in the kunena_attachments table) and no extension; in Chrome and Edge, the file opens in a new browser tab as a text file.  Other filetypes (.docx, .xlsx, and .txt) download in all three browsers with the correct filename (from the filename_real field in the kunena_attachments table).

There is a post on our test website which contains all four attachment types:

Any help would be much appreciated.

Rob

maybe also update the kunena bl;ue-eagle template first, this one seems a bit old to me.
www.kunena.org/download/templates/blue-e.../blue-eagle-5-v1-6-7
But it could also be the settings of your web browsers

That's the latest version of the blue eagle template. I realize it's old, but that's it.
I doubt that it's a web browser setting. My usual browsser is Firefox, and I may have tweaked something there; but the other two are both stock-standard, latest versions.
The weird thing about the problem is that, for pdf filetype, the file which is downloaded has the wrong filename; there is no translation from the 'filename' value (which has no extension) and the 'filename_real' value (which is correct in the table). That transaltion occurs for the other filetypes I mentioned and tested; it also occurs for image files, which also open correctly in all three browsers.

I tried a simple version of the site name last post, but it also got blocked. Here's a text version - hope this works:
