Kunena 6.2.6 released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 6.2.6 [K 6.2.6] which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 4.4.x/5.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.1 / K 6.2 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 6.2

Topics must relate to a currently supported version of Kunena. If you are unsure what is the current supported version of Kunena, please go to the download page.

If you are having problems then, for your own benefit, it would save us all a lot of time if you would kindly post your configuration report when you ask for help from this forum. If you do not post your configuration report we will not ask you for it but you will probably not get your problem solved, either.

Question Questions about Capabilities

I'm looking to create some kind of forum for elementary schools where a student can log in and then be able to post some goals they want to meet and then be able to log in periodically and post and update on where they are at in achieving those goals.

All the posts will need to default to a PRIVATE post so only they and the moderator can see the posts, with an option for the student to choose to make the post PUBLIC. The posts should not be posted to the forum until the moderator has read and approved the post.

Would this be possible with the Kunena Forum product?

I'm sorry but that all will not be possible.
You can create a private category for certain user groups. All users of this group can read published posts in this category.
It is possible, that moderators review the posts before publish. Moderators and Admins can read unapproved posts. But the student can't see/read his own unapproved posts if he is no moderator. So it's not possible, that the student publish this topic itself.
Here is a similar topic (maybe it help you):
